    Anima Anandkumar is a Senior Director of AI Research at NVIDIA and the Bren Professor of Computing at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech). She leads AI research at NVIDIA focused on physics-informed neural networks, scientific computing, and large-scale AI applications.

    Anandkumar's research has been foundational in several areas of machine learning, including tensor decomposition methods, large-scale optimization, and the application of AI to scientific problems in physics, chemistry, and climate science. Her work on physics-informed AI — models that incorporate physical laws and constraints — is enabling breakthroughs in drug discovery, weather forecasting, and materials science.

    She holds a PhD from Cornell University and previously worked at Amazon Web Services as a Principal Scientist. She has published over 200 papers and holds numerous patents.

    Anandkumar is a Fellow of IEEE, ACM, and the American Statistical Association. She has been recognized with numerous awards including the Alfred P. Sloan Fellowship and the NSF CAREER Award.
