Liz Reid is the Vice President and Head of Google Search, leading one of the world's most important AI-powered products used by billions of people daily. She was promoted to lead Search in March 2024, overseeing the integration of generative AI — including AI Overviews — into the core search experience.

Reid joined Google in 2003 as one of the first engineers building Google's search infrastructure. Over more than two decades at the company, she has held various engineering and leadership roles across Google's search and AI teams, building deep expertise in information retrieval, natural language processing, and machine learning.

As Head of Search, Reid is navigating one of the most consequential transformations in tech — the shift from traditional link-based search to AI-powered conversational and generative search. She oversees decisions about how AI reshapes the way billions of people find and interact with information online.

Her two-decade tenure at Google gives her institutional knowledge and technical depth that is rare among executives in the AI industry.
