Natalia Vassilieva
Field CTO, Cerebras Systems
Natalia Vassilieva is the Field CTO of Cerebras Systems, the company that built the world's largest AI chip — the Wafer-Scale Engine (WSE). The WSE contains 2.6 trillion transistors on a single wafer-scale chip, dramatically larger than conventional GPUs, and is designed to accelerate AI training and inference.
Vassilieva joined Cerebras in 2019 after nearly a decade as a Principal Researcher at HP Labs (Hewlett Packard Labs). She also holds the title of Associate Professor at St. Petersburg State University, where she taught from 2004 to 2011.
At Cerebras, Vassilieva leads technical engagement with customers and partners, helping organizations understand and deploy wafer-scale computing for AI workloads. She speaks extensively at AI conferences and is a leading voice on the future of AI hardware and the computational challenges of training large models.
Cerebras represents a fundamentally different approach to AI computing — building purpose-built AI accelerators rather than adapting general-purpose GPUs — and Vassilieva is at the forefront of bringing this vision to market.
