Sandra Rivera
CEO of Altera
Sandra Rivera is the CEO of Altera, an Intel company that designs and manufactures programmable semiconductors, including field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs). FPGAs are critical components in data centers, telecommunications, automotive systems, and increasingly in AI inference workloads.
Before leading Altera, Rivera served as Executive Vice President and General Manager of Intel's Data Center and AI Group, where she led Intel's strategy for AI-optimized hardware across the data center market. She joined Intel in 2000 and held various leadership positions across the company.
Rivera's career at Intel spans over two decades, during which she has been a driving force behind the company's AI and data center product roadmap. Her leadership of Altera positions her at the intersection of programmable hardware and AI — as demand for flexible, efficient AI inference accelerators continues to grow.
She holds a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from the University of Puerto Rico and has been recognized as one of the most influential Latina executives in the technology industry.
