Women in AI
Dr. Piraye Beim
Founder, Celmatix Therapeutics
Dr. Piraye Beim is the founder of Celmatix, a biotech company that uses AI and genomics to advance reproductive health. Celmatix has built one of the world's largest databases of reproductive health data, using machine learning to identify genetic markers associated with fertility conditions and develop targeted therapeutics.
Beim holds a PhD in Developmental Genetics from the University of Edinburgh and completed postdoctoral research at Yale University. She founded Celmatix based on the insight that reproductive health — affecting billions of people worldwide — was dramatically underserved by modern genomics and data science.
Celmatix's AI platform analyzes genomic, clinical, and molecular data to accelerate drug discovery for conditions like endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and premature ovarian insufficiency. Beim's work represents a growing movement to apply AI and precision medicine to women's health — a field historically neglected by the pharmaceutical industry.
